Hirschhorn/Schutterwald. Schmolz + Bickenbach Blankstahl GmbH, one of the latest bright steel companies in Europe, place a large order to ITG. The order is about a new tempering machine for bars and tubes that is equipped with the latest technology. Purpose of this system is the addition to capacity as well as material development at the location in Düsseldorf. In the future, high-quality bars and tubes of 15 to 60 mm can be treated. Depending on the heat treatment a separate operation of the lines is possible, too.

Commissioning of the complete tempering system is planned for the end of the year and start of production should be in the first few weeks in 2016.

“This order is a complex project with lots of customer-specific requirements. Furthermore, the attention should be paid to many guidelines especially in the sector emission control“, explains Michael Manthey who is the responsible manager of this project.
